The NFL has been a hotbed of activity since the Super Bowl ended, and now that we’re just days away from the NFL Draft, it’s about to get even hotter. Teams are making deals left and right in an effort to take advantage of what they see as their best opportunity to improve their team before next season starts.
One such deal took place today between the New England Patriots and Chicago Bears: The Pats traded tight end Rob Gronkowski to the Bears for a draft pick.
This trade is just one more reminder that teams will do anything it takes to win—and not all trades are good ones. Sometimes you have to give up something really valuable in order for your team’s future prospects, but other times those deals can make a bad season even worse. Not for the Patriots, though—they’ve been having a tough time recently, but this deal will definitely improve them in the long run.

What are your thoughts about this move? Will it work out well for the Patriots or are they making a mistake?
The Patriots were definitely making a mistake. They gave up their star tight end in exchange for draft picks, which may or may not help them at all. You can’t win without good players, and the Patriots just traded one of theirs away.
When was Rob Gronkowski Drafted
American football tight end Rob Gronkowski was drafted by the New England Patriots in the second round with the 42nd overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. This was a major move for the Patriots, who are hoping that Gronkowski can help them turn their season around. He’s a big, physically tight end who is sure to make an impact on the field.
The Patriots’ fans are excited to watch him play, but they’re also excited to see what he brings off the field. Gronkowski is known for partying with celebrities and throwing some crazy parties himself, so it will definitely be interesting to see how his lifestyle changes now that he’s in Boston.
Rob Gronkowski’s Achievement and Career Highlights
Although he had a short career with the Patriots, Gronkowski set records for tight ends and was selected to six Pro Bowls at the time of his injury.
By the end of his career, he had earned five First-Team All-Pro nominations and two Second-Team AllCoast honors. Gronkowski was also known for his acting role on the show “Entourage,” where he played himself.
Rob Gronkowski’s Family
Gronkowski was born in Amherst, Ohio, the youngest of four boys who are all in the NFL. He’s in a relationship with model Camille Kostek.
His brothers are also in the league—Chris is with the Los Angeles Chargers, Glenn is with the Kansas City Chiefs and Dan is with the Miami Dolphins. Gronkowski is considered one of the league’s most entertaining footballers, for both his on-field play and his off-field antics.
Gronkowski reportedly earned around $10.5 million in salary and bonuses during his eight-year career.
What are your thoughts about Rob Gronkowski being traded to the Chicago Bears? Do you think it’s a good trade for the Patriots or that they’re making a mistake?
The New England Patriots completed a major trade with the Chicago Bears, sending their star-tight end to the Windy City in exchange for a draft pick. This is just one of many deals that NFL teams have made this year, and it’s only going to get crazier as we approach the NFL Draft.
The Patriots were definitely making a mistake by trading away Rob Gronkowski—one of their best players who helped them turn things around last season. All they got back was some measly draft picks which may or may not help them at all! But don’t worry too much about our Pats; there are plenty more trades coming up before April 26th so you never know what could happen next…
